Begonnen als duo Adebimpe en Sitek noemden zij hun eerste album OK Calculator, vrij naar OK Computer van Radiohead. Sitek ontpopt zich ook als producer van o.a. Liars, Yeah Yeah Yeahs en Scarlett Johansson. Op het tweede album Return to Cookie Mountain is o.a. David Bowie te gast.Ook Kazu Makino van Blonde Redhead doet mee.
